Good-bye-- Flat Stanley-- Good-bye!!!

Today was the day when our class set of Flat Stanley's hopped into the envelope and are off on their way to visit our Grade 2 friends in St. Louis, Missouri. The envelope has been sent registered mail so we can track it and see where our Flat Stanley's are. On this blog there's a spot for both of our classes to take a pole and predict how long we think our envelope will take to travel to Missouri.Hmmm- We wonder how long they'll be in the envelope. We hope they aren't getting too hungry!

Getting Started!

This is where Mrs. Fisher's Grade 2 class and Mrs.Wilson's Grade 2 class will share our photos of Flat Stanley's traveling adventures. Here's our plan!

  • The students will each make their own Flat Stanley to send to students at the other school.
  • They will write an interactive letter to the other class explaining what they want them to do with the Flat Stanley. The letter could even ask for Stanley to be taken to certain places.
  • A photo will go on the blog showing the students saying goodbye to their Flat Stanley.
  • Students will think of the most important parts of their community and each student will take a picture of their visiting Flat Stanley in the place where they have chosen. Once the photo is on the blog then the will write about the picture and explain why it's an important part of their community.
  • The photos will only have Flat Stanley and the area of importance. For safety purposes, there will be no photos of students with the Flat Stanley. We will also only ever use first names on the blog.

Look out world!!! Flat Stanley is on the loose!!!
